This week, Mrs. Teipel's Senior kindergarten class visited the Urban Ecology Center at Washington Park. We turned over logs to find “decomposers” such as worms, slugs and millipedes. We learned about the parts of a tree and changes that happen in fall. We explored the pond and observed a blue heron, geese and native plant species. We enjoyed nature by playing in Raccoon Park, building forts, rolling down Acorn Hill, climbing an old maple tree. It was so much fun learning in nature’s playground! Next week, Mrs. Petitt's and Mrs. Perego's classes will get their turn at adventure!
