Coca-Cola Scholar

Wauwatosa West High School Senior Margaret “Daisy” Lehman has been selected as a semifinalist in the 2024 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. She will move to the next round of the selection process in an attempt to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship.

Lehman is among 1,514 students selected from over 103,800 applicants nationwide to continue through the selection process based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in school and community activities.

“We are incredibly proud of Daisy and her remarkable achievement as a semifinalist in the 2024 Coca-Cola Scholars Program,” said Dr. Demond Means, Superintendent of the Wauwatosa School District. “Her dedication to academics, leadership, and service is truly inspiring, and we wish her the very best as she moves forward in this competition."

In the next phase of the selection process, semifinalists are required to complete a second application that includes essays, a recommendation, and a transcript. An independent selection committee will review these applications and, in early January 2024, recommend 250 regional finalists who will proceed to online interviews. Ultimately, 150 students will be named Coca-Cola Scholars, and each will receive a $20,000 college scholarship.

Additionally, Coke Scholars will be invited to attend the Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend in Atlanta, taking place April 25-28, 2024. Scholars will be the guests of honor at the 36th annual Coca-Cola Scholars Banquet and participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute, facilitated by program alumni.

A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 36th class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 6,900 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $84 million in scholarships since 1986.
